Avocado Chocolate Smoothie

A chocolate avocado smoothie is the perfect start to a morning. Especially when you want that morning to be filled with indulgence and health, because if you are going to indulge in something you may as well make it healthy as well right!? The perfect thing about this smoothie is that even though it is packed with healthy avocado, you cannot taste it at all. So essentially what you are tasting is a delicious chocolate milkshake, but with hidden health in it.

Using avocado in a smoothie is one of our favourite uses for this amazing fruit because it adds such an amazing smooth quality to it. However aside from the texture, avocados are so packed full of vitamins and nutrients that are the perfect addition to your morning. We are firm believers in making your first meal of the day a healthy one (most of the time, haha) and adding avocados to your meal is one of the best ways to add necessary nutrients and healthy fats.

Avocado Chocolate Smoothie

Serves: 1-2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Add all your ingredients to a high speed blender (or whatever blender you may have) and blend until smooth.
