Berry Beet Smoothie

Wait? Did you read this title right? Beet? Yep, you read it right. We put beets in a smoothie. We were hesitant at first too, but one of our Twitter followers asked us to do it, so we did. Some of you probably won’t like this smoothie. If you are like Kat and like earthy flavours, you will probably like this smoothie. If you are like Dev and prefer sweet and fruity flavours to your smoothie, you may not like it. Don’t worry if you’re like Dev because we released two other smoothie recipes today. If there is anyone still with us, hi, thanks for sticking with us. The earthy flavour of a beet gives this smoothie such a natural taste to it, honestly we have never felt more vegan than when we were drinking this smoothie. This smoothie is packed with a lot of delicious things; beets, strawberries and blueberries. Seriously this smoothie can’t be beet (sorry, we just had to). Beets have amazing health benefits that everyone should be taking advantage of. Not only can beets help fight cancer, but they also lower your blood sugar, boost your energy and detoxify your body. Among so many other great benefits.

Berry Beet Smoothie

Serves: 1-2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 small beet, washed and cubed
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 banana

Instructions

  1. Add all your ingredients to a high speed blender (or whatever you have) and blend until smooth.
