Berry Beet Smoothie

We put beets in a smoothie. Is there much else to say really? We were hesitant at first, but one of our Twitter followers asked us to do it, so we did. Some probably won’t like this smoothie, but if you like earthy flavours you will. If you prefer sweet and fruity flavours to your smoothie, you may not like it. If there is anyone still with us, hi, thanks for sticking around. The earthy flavour of a beet gives this smoothie such a natural taste to it, honestly we’ve never felt more vegan than when drinking this smoothie. It’s packed with a lot of delicious foods from nature; beets, strawberries and blueberries. Seriously this smoothie can’t be beet (we just had to). Beets have amazing health benefits that everyone should be taking advantage of. Not only can beets help fight cancer, but they also lower your blood sugar, boost your energy and detoxify your body. Among so many other great benefits.

The perfect way to start your morning. Pop all the ingredients into your blender and process until smooth. Enjoy it while reading, or perhaps bring it with you on the go.

 

Berry Beet Smoothie

Earthy, yet fruity. This Berry Beet Smoothie is the perfect kick to your step.

Cuisine Smoothie
Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 small beet washed and cubed
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 banana

Instructions

  • Add all your ingredients to a high speed blender (or whatever you have) and blend until smooth.
