Avocado Chocolate Smoothie

A chocolate avocado smoothie? What? Remember when we made Chocolate Avocado Pudding? It’s basically that but in smoothie form. If you’re the sweet, indulgent breakfast type, this recipe is for you. But get this, it’s still healthy! If you’re going to indulge it may as well be on something healthy. Packed with healthy avocado, yet you cannot taste it at all. Essentially you’re tasting a delicious chocolate milkshake, but with hidden health in it.

Using avocado in a smoothie is one of our favourite uses for this amazing fruit. It adds a silky smooth quality to it. Aside from the texture, avocados are packed full of vitamins and nutrients. We’re firm believers in making your first meal of the day a healthy one (most of the time), avocados is one of the best ways to add nutrients and healthy fats.

Smoothies are quick and easy to make. Just pile high all the ingredients in your blender and process until silky smooth. Avocado Chocolate Smoothie

Yes you can have chocolate for breakfast, and yes it can still be healthy and taste good. Move aside Nutella, there's a new sweet treat in town.

Servings: 2 cups


  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  • Add all your ingredients to a high speed blender (or whatever blender you may have) and blend until smooth.
