However they are very easy to overcook and when they are they’re mushy and bitter – which would explain why people don’t like them. Brussels sprouts have a mild, sweet, and nutty flavour that are great on their own when cooked properly.

What if I can’t find everything bagel seasoning?

That’s okay, you can always just make your own. To make an everything bagel seasoning just combine poppy seeds, sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, minced dried garlic, minced dried onion, and flaked sea salt.

Can I make these in the oven?

Yes! The air fryer is great but not everyone has one. You can make these in an oven or even in a frying pan if you prefer. To make them in the oven just preheat to 400℉ and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy around the edges.

What if I don’t like Brussels sprouts?

We’d recommend giving this recipe a try first, but if you’re absolutely sure you don’t like Brussels sprouts you can do this recipe with another veggie like broccoli or cauliflower.

Ingredients

  • 450 g Brussels sprouts, quartered
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp) avocado oil
  • 24 g (2 tbsp) everything bagel seasoning
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Add brussels sprouts to a bowl and drizzle with oil. Toss until coated. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning, salt and pepper - toss until evenly coated.
  • Add to an air fryer and cook for 12-15 minutes on 400°F or until golden and crispy.
  • Serve warm.
