Raw desserts have never been our thing. We appreciate the creativity, but we’d almost always choose something baked or fried. However one except to this rule is energy balls/bites. Something about their simplicity and flavour we just love.
Kat made this recipe on a whim one night. She was craving something chocolate-y but didn’t just want a piece of chocolate. She didn’t want to whip up something in the kitchen that was going to take forever and make a huge mess. So instead she threw a bunch of ingredients into a food processor and out came a delicious cluster of chocolate-y goodness that tasted so much like a freshly baked brownie.
We LOVE this recipe. Not only does it come together in about 5 minutes but you can also get away with enjoying these for dessert, breakfast and a snack! The ingredients are wholesome enough to enjoy these whenever the heck you want. The recipe below is for small batch option when you’re craving some chocolate, but double, triple of quadruple the recipe and enjoy them all week long.
Customize these Raw Brownie Bites with your choice of nuts or seeds and any additional flavourings you’d like. If you’re a mint chocolate fan – some fresh mint or peppermint extract will do the trick! If you’re feeling black forrest vibes, add some cherry extract for a decadent twist.

Raw Brownie Bites
- 2 dates, , pitted
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until a dough comes together. Using your hands roll into balls your desired size. Store in an air-tight container.
