Thai Basil Berry Yogurt Parfait: fresh, vibrant and no cooking necessary.
This dessert recipe was actually the product of a food photography. Kat was looking for something quick and easy she could put together to practice some of her food photography. She had yogurt, berries, thai basil, shreddies and some staples on hand. Unsure if it would even work she started making a plate that was beautiful. The goal here was looks, not necessarily taste as this was simply going to be used for some photography portfolio fillers. Little did she know it would not only turn out delicious but also as one of her go-to breakfasts.
We know, we know – why are you sharing a breakfast recipes as a dessert? We’re not. This Thai Basil Berry Yogurt Parfait is made with a few additional ingredients than the one Kat has for breakfast as a way to make it more dessert-like; a little chocolate and maple syrup go a long way.
All you need is 8 simple ingredient;
- soy yogurt
- puffed quinoa
- maple syrup
- dark chocolate
- fresh thai basil

Thai Basil Berry Yogurt Parfait
- 1 cup soy yogurt
- 1/2 cup shreddies
- 4 tsp puffed quinoa
- 4 strawberries
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 4 tsp maple syrup
- 4 tbsp dark chocolate, chopped
- 4 tbsp thai basil, chopped
- To a plate spread 1/4 cup yogurt with the back of a spoon. Top with crushed shreddies, puffed quinoa, fruit, thai basil, chocolate and maple syrup. Repeat for all four servings.
