1cupalmond milk
1tbspmaple syrup
1tsporange zest
1tsplime zest
1tsplemon zest
1tbspfresh orange juice
1tbspfresh lime juice
1tbspfresh lemon juice
3tbspwhole wheat flour
1tspcinnamon
1tspnutmeg
1tbspvegan butter
Instructions
In a shallow bowl combine your almond milk, citrus juices and zests, maple syrup cinnamon, nutmeg and whole wheat flour. Whisk until everything is combined.
Slice your bread to desired thickness, we find 3/4" is best.
Add your vegan butter to a pan on low to medium heat until melted. Dip each side of bread into the mix for about 2-3 seconds each side. Then place onto your pan and cook for about 3 minutes each side. It is very important to not flip it until each side is done cooking.
Stack high on a plate and drizzle with some maple syrup (Canadian of course, preferably from Quebec) and dust with some icing sugar to serve. (optional)
